Motto: "I read bad books so you won't need to."
The blog contains my reviews of books, mostly on
foreign policy, history and national security.

Manfred Rauchenmeister. Der Erste Weltkrieg und das Ende der Habsburghmonarchie 1914-1918. Bohlau, 2013.
1200 p. dreadnought of a book. All what you wanted to know on the First World War from the Austrian prospective and were afraid to ask is now in print.
English translation of the book was significantly shortened (to 900 p.) with atrocities against Serbian civilians and defeats on the Russian front largely edited out and cannot be considered entirely true to the original.
